Henry’s kids all separated to build their own legacies in business, reaching from the creation of Pries Supply in Grand Rapids, Michigan around 1968, and the creation of Pries Construction in Saginaw, Michigan around 1979. Pries Supply in Grand Rapids, Michigan, is a successful building supply company which is still around today, but no longer in the family’s portfolio. Pries Construction, which was the preferred quality home builder of the construction industry in the early years of Saginaw, is now preserved as a benchmark for builders all around the Michigan area. However, it was the owner of Pries Construction, Les Pries, who built, leased, and sold the commercial district called Champagne Park to four Saginaw newcomers that would alter the course of Saginaw and become the Pries family’s most immortalized business transaction.

Today, Jason and Tina Pries are the founders of Pries Capital which represents four generations of private equity, real estate development, business management, and brokerage services in the Myrtle Beach, South Carolina area. But Henry Pries, Jason’s grandfather, will always be recognized as one of the preeminent business entrepreneurs of early Saginaw, Michigan.
